This month I’m challenging you to do one thing every day. It doesn’t seem like much if you look at it on a daily basis, but a continued focus on doing one thing will lead to amazing results.

What is more special than right now? Do you have those things in your house that you purchased for a special occasion and then a find few years later and you haven’t ever used it? Don’t live crazy anymore.  Today is your special occasion.  Get out the fancy plates, use the special decorations, and let the kids play with those special collectables.  It’s just stuff – you deserve to be happy and you deserve to live a life of special moments.

An adventure is always more fun. Ever met one of those people who has a “woe is me” story to tell for everything? Over it. Things don’t always go your way; life can be hard and frustrating.  But then I meet someone who endures similar situations and has a positive attitude through the storm.  And I respect the cheerful attitude.  I know it isn’t easy – I get caught up in the same thing.  I want everyone to know my struggle! They need to know it’s worse for me!  And then I remember that everyone is struggling with something.  Most times, people need hope and my positive attitude can help make this happen. My attitude can make the present situation an obstacle or an adventure.  I choose adventure.

A person to be loved is more important. A few years ago, a friend shared her life perspective with me.  She said, “In any situation, I think about what is most important.  I always come back to knowing that a person to be loved is more important than a problem to be solved.” I’ve thought about that conversation for a decade and often remembered the power of the words.  Sure, it’s easier for me to focus on the task at hand.  But, it’s more important to invest in the person with me.  It hasn’t always been easy; but it’s always been worth it.

Choose today the attitude you will have.  You deserve to be happy and you can make it happen.
