This month I’m challenging you to do one thing every day. It doesn’t seem like much if you look at it on a daily basis, but a continued focus on doing one thing will lead to amazing results.
Set your priorities first. It’s easier to know what you want when you’ve thought about it in advance. Take time now to think about upcoming and start to plan out these decisions now. It could be simple like what to eat for dinner or more complex like what to do with your life. Each of your decisions is important and should be given time and consideration. Take time to invest in yourself, your decisions and your priorities.
Learn to stay on track when things don’t go your way. I have days where nothing seems to go right. It’s easy to get frustrated in these situations and wallow in my misery. But, what seems to work much better is moving past the obstacle, learning from the situation and getting back on track. When I focus on what can go right, the things that don’t go my way seem more like a minor bump in the road than a game-ender. And that makes it much easier to move forward.
Savor the good times because you know they are special. Sometimes when things are really good, I sit back and take it in. When my kids were small, I taught myself to be more in the moment and look around at everything to be thankful for. It helps to put things in perspective when you can really appreciate the good times. I’ve noticed the more I try to focus on these moments and be wholly present in these situations, I enjoy them more and make better memories. Take time to really invest in your good moments today.
When you focus on the positive and build your mindset to see value in each situation, you empower yourself to be happier and more successful – no matter what you’re doing. You deserve to have a positive outlook today.
